Intro to Mindfulness. We talked about how mindfulness means being fully present and aware of what's going on in your mind, body, and surroundings. Benefits of mindfulness include increased patience, focus and productivity, compassion, body awareness, and a decrease in stress and anxiety. We'll be practicing mindfulness each Monday to give you skills to be more successful.
After our mindfulness practice, we put together our binders. Please check the absent bin in class for handouts you may have missed. You will label your 5 tabs in your binder as follows: journal, agenda, toolkit, assignments, and binder check. There is a master binder in the front of the room so you can make sure your binder is organized correctly. HOMEWORK: None.
