Socratic Seminar #1 We reviewed what expectations would be during an academic conversation, including the language scripts in your Socratic seminar packet. Today we watched an academic conversation on StudySync. Choose one of the students to follow and track their part of the academic conversation in your packet. Then, answer the three video questions. HOMEWORK: Finish Character Study: Chapter 1 worksheet and read Chapter 1 by Monday Warm up: Ch. 2 vocab review In class today we took notes on character. You'll keep these notes in your Academic Toolkit. They're number G9. You can find the presentation below. We then watched a video on StudySync of students discussing the characters so far in Gatsby. Then you started to look at the characters of Nick Carraway (the narrator) and Jay Gatsby, making inferences about who they are based upon evidence from the text. There is a handout that goes with this you'll need to grab from the absent bin if you weren't here today.
