Friday After all the stations were done, I added a short response to the end of the assignment from Station 3 on StudySync. You will respond to the prompt with a well-written response and do TWO peer reviews using the rubric. This is the same kind of question you may see on the final with the same rubric. We will go over examples of high scoring answers next week. DUE by Monday, Nov. 19th. HOMEWORK: Should be none, but if anything was not completed in class then it needs to be turned in when we return from break. Happy Thanksgiving! Warm up: 5 words of review
Spelling Test Reading Journals - we set them up today and you made your reading goal and started a list of books that you'd like to read. I accidentally stayed at school until nearly 5 o'clock today because I was playing around with mine! Be sure to keep reading! HOMEWORK: You can save yourself some stress and time next week by doing the lesson on "Creating Commentary" over the weekend. Though I didn't assign it as homework, I highly suggest you finish it before class on Monday so you can use the entire period to work on your rough draft. Review answers to SOAPS activity from yesterday. Go to the library for Teen Read Week. Check out a new book for outside reading. Outside reading will be changing second quarter. You´ll need to get a journal for this class. Your journal should be smaller than a standard spiral notebook. It should be about the size of a book so you can easily carry it around with you. You will need this by next week. HOMEWORK: Get a journal (they can be found at the dollar store).
