Today, you should be done with revising for your peer reviews and ready to turn in another draft to TurnItIn.com. Once you submit a second time, take a look at the grammar errors that TurnItIn is finding for you. Fix the suggested changes and make sure your paper is in MLA format. There's info on how to do MLA format correctly on Google Classroom.
When it looks great and you're proud of what you've written, you're done! Resubmit this final draft on TurnItIn and you're good!
Work on essay.
Warm up: Reading journal. If you were absent you still need to spend 5-10 minutes journaling about the following prompt. If you have a basic journal setup your journal section starts on page 33. If you´re doing the artistic journal the journal section starts on page 37. Here´s the prompt: Write about the most interesting character in the book. What makes them interesting? What do you like or dislike about them? Make predictions about what you’ll think they’ll do, or how you think they’ll contribute to the plot of the story.
Today was for revising based upon peer reviews. Do the following:
Finish revising and submit another draft to TurnItIn. (Click ¨Resubmit¨.)
Warm up: Vocab 2/4
Second draft (first typed) due today. Peer review day.
If you had your second draft typed today, then you participated in the peer review activity. If not, then you needed to continue to work on your essay, whichever step you were on. If you missed the peer review activity, then when you are ready for a peer review, you need to find another person to review your paper according to the following guidelines. You should find someone who also needs a peer review so you can return the favor.
Finish your peer review.
Warm up: Vocab
Your rough draft should be done! Today is your day to self revise. You each got a revision checklist. Go through the checklist and make changes to your rough draft. When you´re done, type up a second draft, making changes as you type.
If you are not done with your rough draft, check out one of the six stations for additional help with whatever you need to get it done.
Finish self revision and typing up a second draft. Turn it in on Google Classroom and on TurnItIn by midnight on Sunday. Instruction on Google Classroom.
Check in here daily for what you may have missed in class, homework and updates.
