Warm up: Choose one of the challenging words from the section you read yesterday in Of Plymouth Plantation and describe what it means. Then write a new sentence using the word.
In Class: Jigsaw Day 2 You switched groups and learned about the other sections of the text today. Then you created a bubble map of adjectives used to describe the settlers together. We then watched a video that explained that there are two main types of evidence: explicit, or directly stated, and inferred, or evidence you have to dig deeper to find. You can also bring your own knowledge to the text to understand what the evidence means. After you've created your bubble map, choose one of the BEST adjectives to find evidence for in the text. You need to come to class tomorrow with this adjective and text evidence support. Absent today? Finish reading Of Plymouth Plantation. Create a bubble map including at least 5 adjectives about the settlers. Then find text evidence to support the best of your five adjectives. Bring this with you to class tomorrow. HOMEWORK: Have text evidence for one adjective that describes the settlers. Practice for your grammar test on Friday. (Check Google Classroom).
