Check Google Classroom for today's activity "Surveying the Text". Make sure when you open the document that you change the title and the heading to reflect your information (name and period number). The goal of this activity is not to read the entire article on cloning, but rather to glance through the text and make some predictions about the content. Each question will guide you through the text before asking for an answer. We answered questions 1-5 today. Here is a link to the article that you will need in order to answer the questions: HOMEWORK: Your only homework is to finish today's assignment if you didn't finish in class. REMINDER: If you have your "book selfie" photo saved to your phone or to YOUR Google Drive tomorrow (Wednesday) I will help walk you through how to upload your photo to the drop box. If you would like to do it yourself there are instructions on Google Classroom.

Warm up: Vocabulary #1, set 1 of 4. Get this from another student if you were absent. Remember to find 2 synonyms per word and highlight them in your notebook. Notebook checks are every other Friday.
Today we started our first ERWC unit: "To Clone, or Not to Clone." We started with a cubing activity focused around the word "clone". Templates can be found in the "absent" folder if you were not here today. We then did a picture walk to gather first impressions on various mammals that have been cloned, followed by a quickwrite responding to the question "If you could clone any of the mammals you just saw, which one would you choose and why?" You will need to come in at lunch or after school to make this up if not done in class. HOMEWORK: None from today, yay! REMINDER: Book selfie photos are due WEDNESDAY by 3:30 pm so I can get them printed! Check Google Classroom for instructions! If you have your photo on your phone by Wednesday, we will walk through the instructions for uploading together. |
Important:Be sure to check back daily for assignments. Especially if you were absent! Archives
