Rough Drafts due. Self edit looking at thesis and topic sentences: do your topic sentences help to answer your thesis? Check the "X" part of AXES. Do your examples (evidence) flow smoothly as a sentence? HOMEWORK: Continue to work on these components of your essay. Warm up: Prepositions: Create three sentences with three pictures to represent prepositions using "anywhere a cat can go".

We read chapter 29 today. This chapter is Jefferson's diary so it can be hard to read because he doesn't use punctuation or proper spelling. It's a really emotional chapter as well because Jefferson is recounting his last days. Afterwards, we wrote a journal entry and then discussed whether Grant met his goal of making Jefferson a man. HOMEWORK: Read chapter 30. |
