Peer scoring of the synthesis prompt you wrote yesterday. At the end of the period, you should have yours back. This is the third synthesis prompt this semester. Choose one of the three to turn in for a grade. Announcements:
Today: In class write on one of the two synthesis prompts that you prepared on Thursday and Friday last week. If you missed a day, you'll just have to write on the one you were here for and call it good. Attendance is important. You should still prep the second prompt to turn in for credit. **SUB M-T, Th-F**
Monday Due: Article of choice from theatlantic.com with document protocol done. Assignment found on Google Classroom Multiple choice practice test - done individually. Full class discussion on the text. Then, respond to the questions on Google classroom on a separate sheet of paper. HOMEWORK: Finish the questions on Classroom Essay scoring. You have 3 scored rhetorical analysis essays at this point. Choose 1 to turn in for feedback and a grade.
Hand out: "Once More to the Lake" by E.B. White.. This needs to be annotated with document protocol by tomorrow. ***Come see me as soon as possible to make up any missing in-class essays or multiple choice. Review student samples of essays and determine their scores. Once done, use three different colored highlighters to highlight for thesis, evidence, and explanation. When you're done, take a look at the overall structure and answer the question on Google Classroom. Be sure to respond to two of your peers.
