Warm up: Notes on action and linking verbs
10 minutes to finish the multi-flow map from yesterday and to write your own summary of what is presented in your map. I then passed out the StudySync consumables for the first unit, We The People. We started on a first reading of Of Plymouth Plantation by William Bradford (p. 4). I did a demo of how to read through the text for understanding. I read through the first paragraph of the text. Warm up: What kinds of books do you enjoy reading? I introduced some classroom procedures regarding warm ups and learning logs and then we organized our binders. Afterwards, I gave you time to read through the syllabus (which can be found on this page under "Important Information") and then we had a little quiz. Then we went over outside reading. A link to this information will also be added to "Important Information" soon. HOMEWORK: Let your parent or guardian read the syllabus and get their signature on the back page. Due tomorrow.
