FINAL DAY TO RETAKE THE FRANKENSTEIN TEST!
Warm up: Write down a goal for what you will accomplish today.
Work on your rough draft. It should have been done today and you should be typing it up.
Since you've worked well the last two days in class, I'll extend the due date for your final draft to Friday, April 27. I will not accept any essays after this date, and you will get no further class time to work on this. I will give extra credit to those that turn in a polished final draft on Monday as per the original schedule. I am here at lunch and after school if you need any help.
Warm up: What do you think the sub wrote to me about yesterday?
This was the WORST sub report I have ever received. I'm extremely disappointed. As a consequence, I will not be accepting late work for this essay. If your essay is not on time, then I will not read it. You had the entire period yesterday to work and it sounds like you wasted it.
Today, you continued to work on your rough draft. Rough drafts are due on Friday. Final drafts are due on Monday.
Rough drafts due tomorrow.
Warm up: Write a sentence for 4 of your vocabulary words from Monday.
Work on writing the rough draft of your essay. You have an outline to help you with this.
Warm up: spelling
Handout: Complete the "Organize Informational Writing" assignment on StudySync with handout. You may have gotten this on Monday if you finished early, if not you got the handout today. Complete by tomorrow.
Handout: Rough draft outline. You will be working on this tomorrow in class so bring it with you!
Today we did H.E.R.O. training on what to do in case of danger on campus. Please review the presentation below.
Warm up: Vocab - these words will be on the retake of Frankenstein "hint hint"
Thesis Statement: Today's lesson was on how to write a thesis. We used the lesson on StudySync and a handout to identify parts of a thesis and then you created your own. When you finished, I collected this and handed out the next assignment: Organize Informative Writing, also on StudySync.
I checked off work from last week: the Textual Evidence Chart and the questions that went with it. I collected the questions that went with the blast from Friday.
