Warm up: Semicolon practice
Discussion of how Mary Shelley uses the semicolon within Frankenstein. See paragraph 3 of chapter 5 for a good example. Take notes on allusion. If you missed this, you can find the information on StudySync. You will need to take notes on the Concept video as well as the information given in the Model video. We are working on reading comprehension strategies that you can use while reading Frankenstein. Today, each pair of you defined and described one strategy to the class. Your learning log is to pick two strategies that you will use while reading tonight. HOMEWORK: Read ch. 4-5 Using two different colors of highlighters, highlight the text where you find character traits for Prometheus in one color, and character traits for Jupiter in another. You may work with a partner if you would like.
