Warm up: Subordinating Conjunctions Practice
I switched up the final assignment for the semester today. We didn't have time to do all the work needed for the speeches I wanted you to write and deliver so instead we are focusing on fully analyzing Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "Letter from a Birmingham Jail". You and your group will select the roles of General Analyst, Diction Detective, and Rhetorical Reader. You will take these worksheets and turn them into a poster, demonstrating MLK's effectiveness in writing this letter. You have time in class today, tomorrow, and Monday to read through the letter to get as much information as possible from it. Then you will start your poster Tuesday and finish it after our grammar exam on the day of finals. HOMEWORK: None.
